Fishing is a favorite past-time of many native Minnesotans. Whether it's winter or summer, there are always plenty of lakes and streams where the fish are biting.
Of course, it goes without saying that Lake of the Woods is a fishing destination, bar none. However, fishermen and women can choose from literally hundreds of great fishing lakes located throughout northwest Minnesota.
Common fish species include walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, lake trout, brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, large and smallmouth bass, catfish and panfish.
